The apartment is well‑located near Galata and the view from the living room is fantastic. However, the taxi couldn’t find the address and had to call for a long time to figure out where to drop us; there were no signs indicating any accommodation. We were supposed to be on the 5th floor but only one person with luggage could fit into the elevator. Someone eventually arrived and told us we were upgraded (nervous laughter) because the original apartment had been flooded after recent rains. In any case, the place was quite dirty, with stains on the sofas and holes in the walls. To make up for it, they offered us breakfast at a nearby restaurant, but we couldn’t enjoy it because we were leaving early the next day. The person who welcomed us was pleasant, but we were very disappointed because we didn’t stay in the apartment shown in the photos and received no compensation.
