The property was well maintained, full of comforts, and the owner Brian gave us great advice on excursions that could be booked directly from the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend renting the canoe as a boat because it was not very safe, but scooters could be rented without any problem. A 7‑Eleven right across the street was a lifesaver. The only downside was that Chamweng, the island’s chaotic center, was a 40‑50 minute taxi ride away.

“Nice but remote. Great for a family holiday with younger children.”

The suites were really well equipped and kept in good condition. The staff were friendly and pleasant. I didn’t know the hotel was cannabis‑friendly, which caused occasional smells. Breakfast offered poor value for money and felt inauthentic for an English‑owned hotel. The location is remote; it’s perfect for peace and quiet, but you’ll need a car to reach any real nightlife, and even then it’s a long drive.

The seaview room was lovely, spacious enough for us and our two boys. The staff were exceptional and breakfast was also really lovely.

It was a nice, peaceful place with a beautiful sandy beach and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room’s view was fantastic, making it the perfect spot to relax and truly enjoy the peace and nature. Construction in front of the hotel—boats couldn’t dock because of low water level, so they were dredging and moving sand—was a bit noisy and made the place feel less quiet than expected.
