The breakfast was excellent, the evening meal was very good, and the staff were lovely, friendly, and the pub had a nice old‑time feel. The room was noisy; mine was on the outside and it was hot, so I had to ventilate it with an open window – the bathroom fittings were broken.

The staff were not very welcoming, the TV didn’t work, and they just shrugged it off. There was a lot of noise from kitchen ventilation, and the services were too expensive for what was provided.

The landlord was delightful and very helpful, but there was noise that couldn’t be helped.

I was charged twice for my stay, and even though the staff admitted it, they never refunded the extra amount I requested.
