The air was clean because the hotel sits beneath Jirisan, but the room, though tidy, felt very old; I paid 70,000 KRW per room, yet it was more like a motel costing 40–50,000 KRW. Every time I stepped on the deck stairs or terrace, they creaked, and the bathroom tiles were terribly flimsy. Even the water bottles that motels usually give were missing, so I had to grab one at a convenience store late at night. I also missed the phone charger that most accommodations now provide.
