The food was tasty, and the riverside restaurant was great. But it took a long time for the water to come out, and the Wi‑Fi in the room was weak.

“Geweldig”

Madhuban Resort was ideal for nature lovers like us (2 people). The view was beautiful, it was quiet, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast and freshly cooked dinner were excellent. For our two days of jungle walks, Summer and Raju showed us everything as experienced guides; they were very good. They also knew and spotted many birds, which is a real treat for birdwatchers. Later, our iPhone was stolen at the Pokahara bus park and they helped translate for the tourist police even though we had already checked out. Super, highly recommended. The only downside is that you need to love hiking to get to the village or call a tuk‑tuk.

“Perfect location, we'll come back!”

The location is fantastic, especially with the restaurant by the river, and the food is exceptionally good. We stayed for almost a week, and even though a few staff members speak very limited English, we always managed. The standard room was very spacious, with windows facing the garden and the river, and it was great value for budget travelers. The room could use more shelves and hooks to stay tidy, and the mattress needs better maintenance in the hottest season because it smelled.
