OYO Sunrise Hotel, A46 N Leicester

The location was good, offering privacy and discretion. The mattress was a mess; it was a boat shape, you couldn’t sit comfortably and it was finished.

“Disappointed”

The lady at reception was lovely and the double bed was comfortable. The bathroom needed a full renovation, very disappointing; we didn’t even shower because it didn’t look or feel clean. My daughter wanted to move the single bed next to me, but it was disgusting behind it. Teabags and dirt everywhere; it clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Mold covered the wall. The heater was behind the bed, rusty and unsafe. It was also freezing cold inside. Many men by the door at night were smoking drugs, and as a mum with two daughters alone we felt unsafe on the bottom floor.

“awful mattresses, never again”

This isn’t a place for anyone with a bad back. The mattress was awful, I sank into a big crater within minutes. When I asked for a different room they said all mattresses were new (they weren’t) and the same. I asked for a refund because I couldn’t sleep on that mattress and still had to find somewhere else to stay. They then offered me a room with a different mattress that looked better, so I stayed. The nights were the worst sleep ever, the mattress was terrible. I slept on the floor. The bathroom had mold and dirt.

“Functional and low budget.”

The location and low cost were good. It was fairly basic but suitable for our needs at a reasonable price.

“Poor choice”

Cleanliness and the bathroom were lacking.
