The location offers a good view of Mt Etna and is close to the Centrale Station, but the bathroom had an unpleasant smell and the automatic cleaning system kept making weird, annoying noises; because the accommodation is in a residential building and shares a common entrance passage with three other nearby rooms, noisy neighbours can disturb you.

The large comfortable bed, view of Etna, convenient location near supermarkets, and the city centre within walking distance (up to 10 minutes) are great; there’s a small kitchen that’s entirely sufficient for cooking, and subjectively it’s good value for Catania. The bathroom had a strange smell of something old, though it was clean and everything else was fine; the door to the room near the front was the only odd thing.
The owner was very empathetic and let us stay longer for checkout because of a bad knee and a late flight, but there was no kettle.
