Bamboo Austin Mountbatur

I booked for my staff so she, her husband and baby could get close to our villa. It showed only 3 mins away. With that shown, I booked this property. But on the actual date of check‑in, the property is 43 mins away. And the room was not available! Because apparently it’s overbooked. So bad.

The place is under renovation so it should be better with time. It’s very close to the start point for Batur. It’s pretty wild. The person on the site doesn’t know English. No internet.

“Perfect Luxury camp vibe rest over before Mt Batur hike!”

Great location and quiet. We enjoyed staying in nature, the staff made our group a campfire and were very helpful and friendly. They served a decent breakfast in the morning. 1 tip - Make sure to stock up on snacks before you get to the accommodation for your trek! Short distance to the starting point of Mt Batur hike. Perfect to rest before and after the hike!

“Séjour confortable mais bruyant”

The accommodation was original, clean, and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and responsive. However, there was a lot of noise from traffic heading toward Mt Batur, and you should be wary of scams and shady deals offered right after you arrive for the Mt Batur climb.

“Nice von draußen, aber sonst müsste viel repariert werden”

The bamboo hut in the forest was nice. Unfortunately, there was no hot water—there was essentially no water at all, neither in the toilet nor at the sink, and the shower only produced cold water.
