The Pennington Hotel, a 16th-century estuary-front hotel in Ravenglass, offers free Wi-Fi and fine local food in its brasserie-style restaurant. En suite bedrooms feature beamed ceilings, flat-screen TVs, and luxury bathrooms with power showers. The hotel's courtyard patio serves bar snacks and afternoon tea. Located near Ravenglass railway station and the traditional Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, with nearby access to the Lake District's High Central Fells.

Even though the location was remote, it was charming, and the staff were very helpful. The hotel and room were spotless. No complaints.

The staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. Parking was a bit tricky; we had to use the nearby Pay and Display on the first night, which cost £8.50 for 24 hours.
