Nestled on Giethoorn’s main canal, The Black Sheep Hostel offers free Wi‑Fi, on‑site parking and a complimentary breakfast. Guests enjoy a shared kitchen, communal bathrooms, and easy access to boat rentals and a nearby restaurant. A bus stop lies five minutes away, while Assen, Lelystad and Groningen Eelde Airport are within 45‑57 km.

The youth hostel is right in the heart of the incredible “Venice of the North,” Giethoorn. In the back of the garden you can settle along a canal on a dedicated sofa, and tables are also available for picnicking. The rooms are clean and comfortable; the bathrooms are located opposite your room and are exclusively yours. The reception is warm, and the owners live on site and serve breakfast. Prices are attractive compared to those in the region, and parking is easy on the property. We really appreciated our stay and strongly recommend it. Nothing to add.

The location near the canals is great, and the area is kid‑friendly. We had spiders in the windows.
