“Not what was advertised”
The spot was right next to the cove, making it easy to walk to the beach and watch the seals and sea lions, and shops and restaurants were on the block above. However, the photos shown were only of the renovated building; our room hadn’t been updated since the early ’90s. Portable A/C units were only in the bedrooms, so the common areas stayed very hot. The chairs and sofa were stained, the beds were uncomfortable, and most furniture was damaged. We stayed in a building that forced us to carry luggage up the hillside stairs. Everything about the hotel was inconvenient, and you need a key card to access the pool, which meant more stairs. The construction project was massive and blocked the view of the water.
