The view was great, the place was relaxing, and we enjoyed waking up to the call of prayer each morning. The owner and his son were lovely, but the property still needs a bit of work.

The owner was very kind and explained the typical taxi and ferry fares beforehand, making price negotiations easy. He kept me updated from the airport to the hotel, so I felt safe during the trip. He gave detailed information about the island, which is rare since most places only explain things if asked, and that helped me have a comfortable stay in Aswan. The bed and kitchen were quite old, so a renovation might be needed, but the price is low, so maybe that’s why; nevertheless, the service was excellent.

Zolly, the owner, is a great person and always helpful and friendly. The place feels clean, the view is amazing, and the wifi is surprisingly good. A mosque is nearby, so the morning chants may wake light sleepers, and sometimes birds peck at the glass window in the morning—funny, but they can wake you.
