Nothing good about this hotel. We asked for help before checking in, but they refused and when we asked for alternatives the employee said, “you can stay at a different hotel.”

Check‑in was quick and smooth; I handed over my ID and they scanned it. The mini‑fridge was handy, but you have to bring your own cutlery, plates, bowls, and dish soap. The Wi‑Fi kept dropping, and my phone kept showing that the network was being used on multiple devices. A previous guest had burned part of the blanket in the room I stayed in; instead of replacing it, someone had cut around most of the burnt area, but not all of it. There was a night light that I couldn’t turn off.

The location is fine, but the upper fan was broken and left a ground‑level “replacement” fan that couldn’t be steadied; it bounced even on low. The fridge didn’t work at all, even when plugged in, and I only found out after showing the manager the broken fan. The manager told the booking site I never mentioned it, but I didn’t because I was on the third floor and you were already annoyed that I brought you up to deal with the fan. The room is clean at a basic level, but there’s no airflow and a fridge that’s not cold on one of the hottest summer days. Just the facts. Be advised.

I don’t know why this place gets a bad rep—it’s super cheap, has free cancellation, and is really clean with a quick check‑in. The mattress felt new and comfy, the bathroom was clean, and the water pressure was great. The room just needs a fan; it can get stuffy. It’s not the hotel’s fault, but people outside the room are loud—this is Mission District after all. Bring ear plugs!
