The view of the hills was decent, but the street outside was filthy. The building overall looked a bit worn, and my shower leaked continuously, no amount of tightening could stop it and it drove me mad; the staff were friendly and moved me to a different room that night. The rooms were cramped, stuffy, and the bathrooms, while clean, never felt truly refreshed.

The spot was spot on, the room was clean, roomy, and had a nice view of Arthur’s Seat while I watched the trains pass by; the reception offered toiletries, tea, and coffee. The building felt swelteringly hot, and although there were fans in the room, they didn't do much to cool it.

Reception was open 24/7 with extremely kind and always ready staff for any situation. The rooms were clean, fully equipped with essentials. The common areas were functional and well maintained.

The hotel was basic but tidy and the staff were helpful. Unfortunately there was no option for a late checkout.
