There’s a second floor, which I liked, but the bathtub was broken—water drained out so there was no water in it. That was the only downside; everything else was fine.

The whole facility feels clean, the bath is spacious, and the staff are attentive; the only downside is that there’s no microwave in the room.

The vibe of the property was pleasant, and I liked that the lounge area was separate from the bedroom, but the previous guest had left their ice and socks behind.

Location was brilliant. So close to everything in Gion but the street it’s on is quiet & you wouldn’t even know thousands of tourists are close by. It’s a 2 story apartment! I was expecting a small Japanese hotel room really, and walked in to find a big entrance hall, a living room, bathroom, and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Honestly you could easily fit a large family. Unheard of in Kyoto for this price!
