“Amazing experience!”

The location is great, just a short walk from the cave temples. The host was very kind and friendly, going out of his way to make our stay memorable, and the meals were very tasty.

I’m impressed by the owner, Inidka, who is such a great guy and helps with any request. He’s kind and super friendly. The accommodation is almost opposite the Cave Temple on the second line of buildings, which is nice. You can relax in the garden and eat on the other side of the road at Baappa’s Tasy Roti run by a local family. Anushka cooks tasty food and the prices are affordable even for backpackers. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Dambulla.

The place is small but very welcoming! The owner is super kind and ready to give you every tip about local attractions, like a true host :) The breakfast was excellent, and we were really satisfied! At Al Menara you feel at home. The garden could be better tended to give an even more welcoming image.

“Excellent homestay near the Rock Temple”

Indika is a great host who tries to help whenever possible :) The homemade breakfast is great, and the location is also convenient—just 5-10 minutes walking to the Rock Temple. The shower is great and there’s a mosquito net. Some dogs bark outside at night, but those are the neighbors’ dogs.
