If you’re stuck in a busy city and need a break, this could be the best option, especially for families. The only downside was that the pool water wasn’t clean, though that wasn’t the owners’ fault.

The owners have thought of everything: very clean, comfortable beds, three bedrooms that can easily host six people, Wi‑Fi, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and two bathrooms. The outdoor seating area has some shade, and the owners are very responsive to questions. The location is great, with free onsite facilities like a swimming pool, tennis, and reasonably priced car chargers.

Everything was clean and tidy, and the lovely location added to the experience. The attention to detail was a bonus, with tea, coffee, biscuits, and wine provided. We had an amazing time.

After a long journey to Cornwall, it was a relief to find the cottage spotlessly clean, with beds and towels ready and a welcome pack that included toilet roll, milk, biscuits, and especially Prosecco—a nice touch. The only downside was that, in December, the park facilities were closed, and the nearest pub was a short drive to the next village or a shaky 30‑minute walk back through rural Cornwall, which would have been better in daylight.
