I stayed in a cozy, spotless room and the staff were friendly, but the shower was too small.

The TV worked, which was good, but the shower in the shared bathroom was a nightmare: a thin, lukewarm stream that cut off, leaving me all sudsy when I left, and the single modern outlet in the room was connected to the TV.

The food was simple and good, but the staff were not very welcoming, there was a bad smell in the building, the bathroom doors didn’t work (we got stuck inside two different bathrooms), we couldn’t shower because no water came out, the Wi‑Fi was dead, and the only bright spot was breakfast and the warm blankets.

It was excellent for a night’s rest if you’re traveling from Chalten to Bariloche.
