Plaza Magnolias occupies a restored 16th‑century building in central San Cristóbal de Las Casas, just a 10‑minute walk from the historic church and a two‑minute stroll to Central Park. Colonial‑style rooms feature hand‑carved wooden furniture, coffee makers, cable TV, free Wi‑Fi, and private bathrooms with hairdryers. The on‑site restaurant offers local and international cuisine in a garden courtyard.

The proximity to the centre is great. However, the room was very humid, it smelled damp, and it felt very cold even though we had plenty of blankets. The humidity was just too much.

The hotel’s location, attentive service, cleanliness, and good facilities were all excellent, and the rooms were very spacious. Nothing negative, everything was normal. We didn’t try the hotel food, and perhaps one of the four breakfasts was missing a complimentary item.

The room and location were great. They didn’t provide enough soap; the same bottle was used for hand washing and bathing.
