The price-performance ratio is excellent! Breakfast is included, laundry is available, the washroom is fairly clean, and the staff are all very good—thanks to the gentleman who helped me check in! The hostel’s location is great, right below the commercial street, so exchanging money, eating and shopping are all convenient. It’s also close to the bus stop, and taxis to the sights are easy; the local minibus is very cheap. My first night I barely slept because the air‑conditioner was off and the roommate opened the window, letting in a swarm of mosquitoes—no sleep at all. I tried to get the front desk to help turn it on, but couldn’t find the receptionist; only a skinny black boy was snoring on the sofa, so I didn’t want to wake him and sat on the sofa for about ten minutes before heading back to my room. At 6 a.m. I went back to ask him to turn it on, and it cooled instantly, but the mosquitoes kept buzzing; I ended up killing more than a dozen blood‑sucking ones. I specifically asked not to open the window during the day, and the next night I slept very well, with only one or two mosquitoes. The only complaint was the foot odor—remind them to keep shoes outside, it was really bad.
