Ryokan Matsukaze, a non‑smoking inn in Matsumoto, lies a 10‑minute walk from JR Matsumoto Station and an 8‑minute drive from Matsumoto Castle. Rooms feature tatami floors, futon beds, air‑conditioning, a fridge, TV, and complimentary green tea. Shared bathrooms offer free private bathtubs and showers. A nearby convenience store is just a 3‑minute walk.

The spacious tatami room let me relax, and it was about a 10‑minute walk to Matsumoto station.

The vibe was great and the staff were super friendly. Walking from the train station to Matsumoto Castle was reasonable. The room was traditional, spotless, had comfy beds, and tea was provided. The onsen wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped, with hair and other residue in the water; I used it around 7/8 pm, which might explain why it wasn’t very clean anymore.

お手頃な価格で泊まれて嬉しかったのと、お風呂は24時間貸し切り家族風呂があって便利だった。. 別館のお風呂ですがあまり清潔ではなかったのと浴室内に鏡が欲しかった
