The location was fine. The floors were extremely dirty, and the cleaner used was so strong it made my eyes sting and my head hurt. I couldn’t ventilate because there was no window, and the screen door had gaps so mosquitoes and flies got in. Because of that and the heat, I slept terribly. The owners wouldn’t move me to another room, and when they came to clean the floors they used the same potent cleaner again, making it worse.

The property was charming with modern rooms, and it was easy to stay overnight for business; as a solo traveler, my room was more than sufficient.

The location was excellent, with staff who were super helpful, a clean and modern design, and a comfy bed, so we’re already planning to come back with friends. Walking to the Rendezvous Event Center, various restaurants, and shopping was a breeze. The only issue was a towel that had clearly been left in the washer too long before drying, but there were plenty of others available, so it wasn’t a big problem. The neighbors in the adjacent room were incredibly loud at 7 AM on Sunday, and the adjoining door could use better noise‑cancelling features compared to the rest of the chateau.
