The hotel was spotless and the rooms had plenty of space, which surprised me given the town’s size. However, the reception area was tucked away and hard to locate when I arrived, and no one was there to help with my luggage or give directions.

“Lovely rooms, front desk staff could do with a major upgrade”

The rooms were spacious, well furnished, clean and modern, with walk‑in showers that had a rain head. The reception staff, however, spoke little to no English or Gujarati and only acknowledged one booking even though I had two; after sharing the confirmation they eventually gave me the second room. Wi‑Fi was a nightmare: we managed to connect one device, then the front desk demanded different Indian numbers for each device, and the numbers I provided didn’t work. They promised a fix in 5 minutes, but I had to go back to reception myself and no one came to help or to check me out. In today’s world Wi‑Fi shouldn’t be this difficult.

“A good place”

Almost everything was good, but the rooms lacked a list of numbers to dial and I never received the Wi‑Fi password.
