“A traditional Japanese stay in a special place with natural sulfur smell”

Maybe it was low season, but I enjoyed the sulfur spring all by myself! The Hell Valley was within walking distance after crossing the whole shopping street—a unique and nice spot. The room was a traditional Japanese style with tatami and futon beds. The staff helped set up the bed between 6‑8 PM. It felt like lying on the floor, but after a tiring day we could still sleep.

“登別頭一間酒店！讚的！”

The valet guy was friendly and helpful, and the mochi “boyfriend” they handed out was surprisingly tasty. The bed felt as hard as the floor, so I didn’t move all night, and the flooring looked pretty worn. The bathroom was tiny, and the lobby drinks were cheap but the window of time to actually have one was far too short to enjoy.

The onsen was large with many tubs. The dinner was very good. The breakfast room felt a bit sad. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The car valet service for parking was excellent. Some furnishings were a bit dated.

“立地や旅館規模の割には安く泊まれた”

The hot spring was definitely a highlight, though some of the facilities felt dated and a few things were broken. Because we had a lot of luggage, the shuttle we hired only brought the vehicle over and we ended up watching it being moved without any assistance.

Having dinner in the room was a pleasant experience, and the staff kindly walked us through the menu. While the default dinner was beef, we swapped it for seafood since my family doesn’t eat beef, and the dishes turned out delicious with excellent service overall. Everything was great.
