“海が見える浴槽があり、気持ちよく、部屋の中は涼しく、快適だった。”
The staff were able to adjust my plan on the spot without any trouble, and I have no complaints at all.
“今回で3度目のリピですが、今回もゆっくり寛げて楽しかったです。”
The air‑conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room nice and cool, and everything was spotless when I arrived; the amenities were plentiful and the view of the sea from the window was simply superb. The building was completely silent, so I could relax without hearing any outside noise. The only downside was that dinner was served later than expected.
“この地方に行く時は、また泊まります!”
Because the place used to be a love hotel, the rooms and beds were spacious and very comfortable, and the private open‑air bath attached to the room offered a great view and the soothing sound of waves, which was incredibly relaxing. It seems to be a favorite among locals as well. Breakfast was delicious, and during my consecutive nights I got to try a different dish each morning. The only minor issue was the low water pressure in the shower, but everything else more than made up for it.
It was a good value, though I did have to wait a little while at the front desk.
We stayed at Nome Hotel SeaLife Resort, right on the beach, and chose a terrace room with a bathtub that overlooked the water and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was decent, and the three days of relaxation were exactly what we needed before touring the rest of Kyushu. The hotel is a bit remote—about 60 km from Fukuoka and roughly 15 km from Kitakyushu—and is popular with cyclists; Iwaya Beach could be seen from the terrace at sunrise and looked gorgeous. Getting around the area really requires a car, as the bus service is scarce. The only inconvenience was not having a room key; we had to call “9” on the entrance phone each time we needed the door opened, although the staff always responded quickly.
