“Location on the edge of the rainforest was amazing with the wildlife and birds coming in to beautiful gardens and ponds”
The location on the edge of the rainforest was amazing, with wildlife and birds coming into the beautiful gardens and ponds to visit. The staff organized all rainforest excursions with amazing guides—especially our guide Sagara who could find anything in the forest. A little more control of noisy large groups would help; consider establishing a lower pathway below rooms as a walkway to increase privacy for guests.
The lodge was right next to the rainforest, so we walked into the jungle with our guide; we ate deliciously twice in the evening, the garden and surroundings were amazing, all green! Nothing negative.
The location is great.
A paradise right at the jungle's edge, the staff and food were wonderful, but the room wasn’t cleaned daily and getting to the place was a hassle.

We enjoyed a memorable stay at Sinharaja Forest Edge, landing a beautiful room that offered both garden and pool views, which made the experience even more relaxing; the highlight was a guided tour of the Sinharaja Rainforest arranged by the hotel, a fantastic and informative adventure; the restaurant was clean, well‑maintained, served good food, and had a pleasant atmosphere; the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help; the location was a major plus, being very close to the Pitadeniya Entrance of the Sinharaja Rainforest, making it ideal for anyone wanting to explore the rainforest; overall, a fantastic experience with beautiful surroundings, great location, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, and excellent service—highly recommended and we’d love to return. 🌿❤️
