Located on a hill ridge in the heart of the Eifel region, Landgasthaus Pfahl is a country-style hotel in Wershofen ideal for hiking and cycling. It features free Wi-Fi, a rustic restaurant with a large beer garden, and rooms with TVs, private bathrooms, and work desks. A daily breakfast buffet and Rhineland dishes are served, along with Ahr region wines.

There was plenty of parking for a car with a trailer and a motorcycle, and I could dine and have breakfast inside through a locked door. Nothing to complain about.

The hospitality and service were warm; the team waited for my late arrival and managed to find a power outlet for charging my car.

The hotel team was friendly, the food (both dinner and breakfast) and the room were almost all top‑class. I asked for a room with firm mattresses; it was fairly firm but a bit saggy – a pity.
