Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Bakersfield Central

The new structure has large, clean rooms. Restaurants and bars are nearby for dining. The breakfast is very good.

Everything was very clean, but I didn’t know they were hosting a loud event—maybe a wedding or party—so I couldn’t sleep because of the music and ended up checking out mid‑night and booking another room elsewhere.

“Good for one night! Visit the local Brewery!”

It was close to everything you can do in Bakersfield. The bed was very nice and overall it was a good stay.

Breakfast was fine. The juice machine didn’t work. The bathroom needs serious updating; the shower head is poor and several areas need fixing.

“Really good with a inconvenience”

When we arrived, a fantastic front desk agent warmly welcomed us, explained where breakfast and coffee were, and showed all the hotel amenities; both the hotel and our room were spotless, which is perfect after a long day and a 2‑hour drive. What I disliked was waking up Saturday morning to a clogged toilet, even though it had worked the night before. I called the front desk before heading out so maintenance could fix it, but when we returned a plunger was left outside the room. The front desk girl told me the plunger was for me to use, but I said I wasn’t going to plunge the toilet myself and she just replied, “Okay.” I don’t like confrontations, but at checkout I spoke to the male clerk who had checked us in; he was very apologetic and helpful. We stayed only one night because my child had an early soccer game Saturday morning, so using the lobby restroom instead of our own room’s facilities was quite inconvenient.
