“A wonderful stay in Ubud, away from noise and traffic.”

I spent 11 nights at Askara Guest House and left feeling sad to leave. The location is perfect—far from Ubud’s noise and traffic yet just a 15‑minute walk away. I slept soundly, and the staff were absolutely lovely. Breakfast was lovingly prepared each day, always fresh fruit included, and varied daily. I enjoyed swimming and relaxing by the pools, and there were both hot and cold water taps for making teas and herbal infusions. I definitely recommend this place.

The family room was great—calm, not on the main road, not in central Ubud but still within walking distance. Wiri's Kitchen is next door with great, cheap food, and a small supermarket is also adjacent, which is convenient. The only issue was one of the kids’ beds, which was not very comfortable; perhaps they should check and replace some mattresses. Still, it was fine overall.
