Everything was clean, the food was good, the staff were great, and the location near the train station made getting into Liverpool easy.

The room was nice, the TV offered a full range of media, it was clean, and the modern bathroom had a nice hot shower; the dinner menu had lots of variety, the beer was lovely, and breakfast was high‑quality and generous.

The restaurant and tap room were great, and the staff were lovely, but light sleepers might be disturbed by the church bell chimes from across the street, as the double glazing isn’t as good as it used to be—ear plugs could help.

The staff were really nice and the rooms were clean; dinner was very good, but breakfast was disappointing—strawberries had mould on them, and the cooked breakfast was never that good, probably my fault!
