Holiday Inn Express Richmond-Mechanicsville by IHG

“I absolutely love the staff at this property!!”

The setup was nice, clean, and comfortable, and the staff—especially Christina and Hope—were amazing, but the door to re-enter from the pool was hard to open, the patio by the pool was a mess with tables and chairs everywhere (I had to fix it), and there were no towels at the pool any day even though I was told there would be.

“Great breakfast by Lawrence the chef!”

The beds were comfortable and close to everything, breakfast was great, and chef Lawrence really knows how to cook—he deserves a raise—yet the carpet in high‑traffic areas needs shampooing and the bathroom floor wasn’t clean enough for me.

Everything about the property was liked, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

“This room gave me the best sleep. I had in a long time. It was better than my own bed.”

The room was nice, but the air quality was a bit stuffy so I had to keep the AC running; the air didn’t circulate well, yet the bed gave me the best sleep and I loved its comfort; the hotel was nice, the staff friendly and very helpful, the breakfast bar was very nice and the server was great, and I have no complaints, except that the room’s stuffiness required the AC to run.
