The host and all the staff were exceptionally friendly, and the host spoke English very well while serving us an excellent Japanese dinner. My vegetarian requests were accommodated, and the Japanese breakfast was also superb (a Western breakfast was offered as well). The room was very large and comfortably furnished.

“Good experience in a traditional setting with helpful staff.”

We appreciated the traditional vibe of the place, and the shuttle bus to town was a handy perk. Being picked up from the rail station was convenient, and the staff were very helpful. Nothing else stood out; overall it was a pleasant traditional experience.

The rooms are big and comfortable, and the ryokan offers a free private bus. However, it is very far away and the path is poorly lit.
