We booked a hotel for one night in Sihanoukville before heading to Koh Rong by ferry the next day. The location is great, the room décor is a lot more luxurious than expected, the shower is nice with good water pressure, the beds are comfortable, the insulation is good, and the thick carpeting everywhere keeps everything clean and tidy. When a roller blind had a problem we were moved to another room immediately, which made us very satisfied. The a la carte breakfast was fine. One night for three people, including breakfast, was about 46 euros in early August 2026. In the immediate area there were many local stalls where we ate well. Outside the hotel, almost everything is aimed at Chinese tourists, with little focus on western tourists such as restaurants, and many buildings have Chinese text. But for the experience that doesn’t matter; we had a good time.
