I picked this hotel because it’s closest to my job, near many restaurants and shops, and the staff were friendly; the bedding was worn with holes in the bottom sheet, pillows smelled odd, the sink taps were hard to turn, the continental breakfast had almost nothing at first light and wasn’t refilled, the room fridge was too noisy to use, and it felt overpriced for what it offered.

The location is fine, but we found cockroaches in the room and something stuck in the washroom door.

The room was spotless, spacious, and you could drive right up to it. The on‑site restaurant was nice and the lounge had a lively vibe. The only downside was the price.
