“An unforgettable stay”
It’s difficult to put into words just how special our time at Nambiti Plains was. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so genuinely welcome and cared for. Every member of the team was warm, friendly, kind and funny, and what stood out most was how much they clearly loved what they do and the place they get to call home. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and by the time we left, we had completely fallen in love with Nambiti too. The game drives were extraordinary. There was an incredible abundance of wildlife, and every sighting felt special – from the smallest birds to the largest elephants. We learned so much, and never felt as though it was simply about ticking animals off a list. There was such care and respect for the wildlife and the environment, which made every drive even more memorable. A huge part of that was down to our guide, Denzel, who went above and beyond throughout our stay. His knowledge, humour, patience and obvious love for the reserve made every drive an experience in itself. He took such wonderful care of us and made our time in the bush something we will never forget. The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, comfortable and surrounded by the most incredible landscape – and the food was exceptional. Siyanda is an extraordinarily talented chef and meal after meal was genuinely delicious. Cindy looked after us so beautifully in the restaurant and made us feel special every single day. Those personal touches, and the warmth of the whole team, are what elevated an already amazing place into something truly unforgettable. I’m South African but have lived overseas for several years, and I brought my partner home with me for his first visit to South Africa. I expected Nambiti to be a highlight of his trip; I didn't expect it to have quite such an effect on me too. Being there, surrounded by that landscape, wildlife and the wonderful people who care so deeply about it, made me fall in love with South Africa all over again. Nothing
