The location was perfect and the old building was lovely, but the narrow stairs made it hard to move around after my hip operation – a downside of the building’s age that I hadn’t anticipated.

The historic building, friendly staff, great spot, tasty food, comfy bed, and freestanding bath in the room were all fantastic, yet the creaking sign outside the New Romney window kept rattling and ruined our sleep in what was otherwise a superb and comfortable room.

The place is great for its location, the staff are helpful, and breakfast is good, but the shower and toilet area in the room is very cramped.
