Even the main door doesn’t close properly, the bathroom is in bad shape, and there’s no hot water. The host is unreliable. He told me on the phone that dinner would cost 500 LKR for rice and curry, but the bill came to 2,750 LKR. The place is far from both the entrance and the town center. There are no restaurants nearby and basically no public transport, so you’re forced to rely on the host for meals and transport. Even the house’s tuk‑tuk driver tried to convince me that there was no bus to my next destination so I would take his tuk‑tuk instead, but a bus was actually available an hour later.
