The host’s welcome and kindness, the comfortable room, and the breakfast were all wonderful. Also, the house is very close to the village centre. Nothing to complain about – it was perfect.

We loved the village itself and, of course, the house, which was stocked with interesting books and ornaments. The room – or rather the suite – was superb; we felt like the Lord and Lady of the manor for a short while! The hosts were delightful, just as every reviewer has said, and they made our stay special. We skipped an evening meal but savored the breakfast and freshly squeezed orange juice. Some people have complained about the bathroom, but in an old house an old‑fashioned bathroom just works! It was spotlessly clean, like everywhere else, and we had no problem with it.

The location, character, ambience, and friendly host made the room truly exceptional—describing it would be impossible, it was absolutely beautiful—and the breakfast was lovely.
