Breakfast was amazing, varying slightly each day but always a great mix of traditional and western dishes. The staff were super friendly and dropped us off at the slopes every morning.

The couple who own the place are lovely and very helpful. The rooms are wonderful, the location great, and everything is very clean.

“El Mayo Exceeds Expectations”

The owners went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were super clean and comfortable, the onsen great for post‑ski recovery, and the Japanese breakfasts generous and varied daily. The heated ski storage was nice. The hotel offered a morning shuttle to three different mountains and an easy free shuttle from the resort bus that returned 50 m from the hotel. A small convenience store at the top of the road had snacks and drinks. The hotel organized return shipping of skis and bags (keeping the plastic covers used to ship them from the airport luggage service). I will definitely stay here again. The only issue was that getting a restaurant seat was difficult because of long lines or being fully booked in advance.

The location is good for Echoland and Happo Village, with a shuttle bus out front to the slopes or a 5‑minute walk.
