The highlight was the hosts Kelly, Pedros, Frida and Beta. All were very warm, friendly and exceptionally accommodating. Another exceptional feature was the breakfast buffet: 3/4 of the dishes were lovingly homemade, rich and varied. At other places you pay many times that amount for such foods (baked goods, jam, figs and other fruit, olives, etc.). Fantastic! I also have to mention that there were unasked and unobtrusive special services here and there, for example we were taken on a small fishing trip to a remote beach. You normally have to pay a lot for that. The three restaurants within 30–100 m were consistently very good and authentic (as the saying goes). Dessert was free and the well-known Greek dishes. Honestly, there’s hardly anything to criticize… and if there was, it wasn’t the accommodation. The beach is largely touristy with the usual restrictions. However, a few hundred meters left or right of Troubel you can find a quieter spot, which wasn’t a problem for us. Not all rooms have sea view. If you value that highly, you might mention it. On the other hand, you’re only 30 m from the beach, so you’ll have plenty of sea view.
