“You’re not booking the hotel, you’re booking a privately owned apartment.”
The studio was by the beach and the air‑con was excellent. However, the apartment is privately owned and not part of the hotel, even though the listing made it seem like a hotel booking. That difference matters because the experience is completely different. We were told to check in at the hotel concierge, so we did that, only to find out we were supposed to meet someone, meaning we stood around with our luggage for about 30 minutes. The concierge gave us an all‑inclusive wristband because we simply followed the instructions we had been given. When the owner eventually arrived, they made a huge scene in front of the whole lobby, as if we had deliberately done something wrong. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. The apartment itself was also disappointing: it smelled, there were hairs all over the bedsheets, cupboards and floors, the toilet was leaking, there was no shower door, and an opened drink was left in the freezer. Cleaning standards were clearly poor. For seven nights, we were given two towels and one toilet roll. We asked for these to be replenished and were told it would be sorted. We chased this five times and it still never happened. The host also repeatedly messaged us trying to get us to book excursions through them. When we decided to book elsewhere, we were actually told, “Sir, we are really disappointed.” That is an astonishing way to speak to a paying guest. We booked our holiday to enjoy ourselves, not to be pressured into purchasing excursions through the host. Then there is the security situation. You have to wear a black wristband, which costs £2 each, and because the apartment isn't actually part of the hotel, you are repeatedly stopped and questioned by hotel security when entering and leaving through the main hotel. This happened so often that it genuinely made us feel like we were doing something wrong simply by trying to get to the apartment we had paid to stay in.
“The location was great but didn’t appreciate the lack of WiFi when I needed it for work”
I enjoyed the location, the pool, and the property was phenomenal, yet the Wi‑Fi went out for a whole day and a half even after I asked for it to be turned on; I had to wait over a day and it interfered with my work.
“Szuper hely egy Egyipromi nyaraláshoz.”
The apartment is in a great location. All-inclusive services are available, and the fully equipped, air‑conditioned apartment with a balcony overlooking the pool is superb.
“Valt mee”
The air conditioning and bed were good, but the staff were pushy and the children outside were aggressively begging for money.
“فندق الكارما بتاع عم بيومي البواب”
The apartment was beautiful, but it needed more maintenance; El Karma Aqua Beach Resort management was very unprofessional, making you feel like you were dealing with a local building guard who would take your money without providing any service—a big zero for El Karma Aqua Beach Resort management.
