The Ennerdale Country House Hotel ‘A Bespoke Hotel’

“Very friendly hotel, great staff, clean and warm accommodation.”

The location was close to the main road in the village, so it was easy to find. The gardens around the accommodation were stunning. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was warm and very clean. The bathroom appeared relatively new. Both the breakfast and evening meal were good quality food and reasonably priced. Internally the hotel has some interesting architectural features. The internet reception was very poor; I only managed to use it for a few minutes during my stay. I requested a room with a bathroom when booking and I was the only member of the party of four that didn’t get one. The outside of the hotel looks like it is in need of some TLC.

Great hotel, lovely staff and good value for money, but our room was a little warm.

The room was nice with a garden view, and the breakfast was good. The burning fireplace in the hallway made it very cozy. Plenty of parking was available, and the garden had many different conifer trees; it must have been a gem when first laid out. The left side of the hallway looked out onto a ruin, and some frames need renewing, but the hotel stayed warm.
