“What stay?”

I booked through a site that might have been a scam; I received a confirmation email, arrived from Berastagi, and found no room or record of my booking, and the hotel had apparently changed its name. I called the number in the email, was asked if I was going to trek with them (which seemed irrelevant since my room was supposed to be a priority), was told no rooms were available, and the line was disconnected. I had to find an alternative place by asking locals, which turned out to be the best option at 100,000 a night. I should have verified whether this was a legitimate hotel, especially after seeing a review from 2025.

“Best room for the price”

I had a great experience at this hotel, thanks to the friendly owner, Gia, who speaks excellent English and makes communication a breeze. The room was modern and spotless, albeit a bit small, but it had plenty of storage space and a lovely private balcony with a table and chairs. The bathroom was a highlight, but it did get a bit wet during heavy rain showers. However, the biggest letdown was the poor WiFi connectivity.

“Amazing!”

This guesthouse was an absolute gem, with an incredibly welcoming owner family who went out of their way to help us. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, and the on-site restaurant served some of the most delicious food I've ever had. The highlight of our stay was the guided jungle hike, which was both exhilarating and memorable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and authentic experience.

“Perfecto!”

We had an incredible stay at this small guesthouse, thanks to the warm hospitality of the family who run it. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was spotless and well-equipped. The WiFi was also surprisingly good, and the food at the on-site restaurant was top-notch. What really stood out, however, was the family's willingness to go above and beyond to make our stay special, from arranging tours to doing our laundry.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thanks to the kindness of the hosts who helped us organize our trip from Medan and back to the airport. The accommodation is peaceful, close to the river, and just a short walk from the jungle trek departure point. We also appreciated the option to rent a scooter and do our laundry. The room was spacious with a private terrace, offering great value for money.
