Hostal royal begoña

The room had a mini fridge, was fully equipped and had a pretty good amount of space, everything was very clean. The location, even though the bus and metro are right next to it, was fine, but I didn't like the people there. Also, they didn't explain well how to get in, especially the password issue.

The hostel itself is nothing special, it’s just a converted shop into rooms. The room was filthy, it was room 4. The duvet was full of black stuff, there were two stains on the sheets, the headboard wall was covered with marked hands and fingers. The corners of the baseboards were corroded, the lower parts of the walls were speckled. The bed barely fit. The bathroom was a nightmare: the shower door could only open a little, a person with a large body couldn't get through because the toilet bowl was 10 cm from the shower door, right in the middle. The floor was full of hair stuck next to the shower.

“Bastante mal”

The location was close to the hospital, which was what I needed. I booked two rooms; one was fine, the other had a very strong musty smell, the baseboards were swollen and black from damp. Even after ventilating, the odor didn’t go away and we had to sleep there after telling them. They responded immediately, I sent photos, but they offered no remedy.

The room was well-made, the location and safety were excellent. The maintenance of the place is lacking; there’s a smell on the towels, no room service for six consecutive nights. I arrived at 14:00, they refused to give me the key, so I had to wait outside even though the room was available.

It was a 5‑minute walk from the 5 towers. The room condition and cleanliness were disappointing.
