The hotel’s spot was spot‑on and the room itself was fine, plus there’s a parking lot right there. The big downside was the lingering cigarette smell – it soaked into everything and no amount of airing out helped. If you’re traveling with kids or you don’t smoke, you’ll probably want to look elsewhere. All in all, it was okay.

Perfect for a short stay – the place was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had that typical Bulgarian layout without any partitions. The problem, however, was that people kept smoking inside despite the ban, and with the reception closed at night there was no one to enforce it. A bit of responsibility from guests would have saved the hassle.

The bed was comfy enough for a night or two, and the air‑conditioning and TV worked without a hitch. Unfortunately, despite the no‑smoking rule, guests were lighting up in the rooms, and with the front desk empty at night nobody seemed to notice. Also, there was no mini‑fridge, which was a bit inconvenient.

The area had a strong tobacco odor, which made the whole environment feel unpleasant. Nothing else stood out.

The price was very reasonable and the staff were friendly – one lady even waited with me while I withdrew cash from the ATM, which I appreciated. The only letdown was the morning food smell; it was tempting, but I couldn’t actually buy anything.
