“I have mixed feelings about this property.”

The location and renovation were positives. The rooms looked much better inside than the building did from the outside, but there was nowhere to hang clothes. It was nice to have an ensuite bathroom, the location was convenient—though outside the tourist area—and the price was reasonable. I expected more from the staff. Cleaners were quite noisy in the hallways early in the morning. The front desk was only staffed by one woman for limited hours and not every day. The main disappointment was the front desk staff’s attitude; she seemed like someone who shouldn’t be dealing with customers, impatient to the point of rudeness. I don’t know if she was having a bad day, but her interactions with guests left a bad taste. Also threatening posters and signs were displayed, especially in the communal kitchen with many cameras everywhere. Maybe they’re more used to young backpackers than older tourists with higher expectations. We were in Broken Hill for a conference with many colleagues. I would think twice before staying at this property again or recommending it.

The staff were good. The room was fine. The bathroom was great compared to elsewhere, with good shower pressure. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a perception issue with access from my vehicle; I thought the advertisement suggested a motel‑style setup where you pull up in front of an external access door. The corridor was noisy and doors were banging, but it wasn’t a big problem, I just wasn’t expecting it.

“Great place to stay would definitely stay again”

The share dining/kitchen and lounge area was great for our large group. The hot water in the showers would disappear when someone else showered

“This is a great place when busing to broken hill sometimes bus arrives late and they have late check ins”

The proximity to the bus station made getting around a breeze, and everything else worked smoothly.
