The place was beautiful and charming, offering quiet and peace; the value for money was excellent, the owners were friendly and helpful, there were plenty of relaxation spots and many activities (bicycles, SUPs, a boat, a mini gym), the bike was close to the shop and the beach, and it was perfect for a group of friends.

The room was nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed, the common area was attractive and well maintained, the bicycles and SUP boards included in the price were in good technical condition, the surroundings were gorgeous, close to other tourist towns, and the forest trails were ideal for walks with dogs. Unfortunately, nowhere in the description mentioned that the lake, to which the property has a private access, is unsuitable for swimming because of its very muddy bottom; only at the lake’s edge is a sign warning that swimming is forbidden due to danger, and I think this should be added to the property description since proximity to the lake was one of our selection criteria. The room felt stuffy, opening the windows helped little but also made it possible for people to peek into each other’s rooms because the balconies/windows are close together. Using the shared kitchen was difficult – you have to descend to the “basement” via steep stone stairs, the kitchen itself is dark, damp, and unwashed. A small fridge in the room would at least spare the need to keep going to the basement for drinks on hot days.

If you’re looking for a place where you can simply walk from the cottage to the beach with kids, this isn’t it. The description claiming a private beach is misleading – in the lake (as of 2026) swimming is banned, you can only paddle a boat on it. The nearest beach (a short walk away) is a paid camping at Basi’s. If you want a picturesque spot for relaxing with a book in a hammock or an active break (bicycles, SUPs), this is a great location. The place has character, beautiful historic houses, stylish interiors, a well‑kept and scenic surrounding area, a large shared and well‑equipped kitchen (like the Mazurian apartment) where you can escape the heat, and the hosts are very friendly. The ban on swimming at the “private beach” was an unpleasant surprise. Additionally, the Mazurian apartment would benefit from a wardrobe or chest for unpacking, and it would be nice to have a coffee machine or kettle in the apartment or shared kitchen.

The inn offered many free amenities: SUPs, bicycles, foosball, a grill, a fire pit, and a rowing boat. The kitchen was very small, it was very warm despite the fans, and the lake was described as not allowed for bathing.

The vibe was cool, the layout was nice, the décor was good, and there was lake access. The apartment was poorly cleaned, the windows were dirty, a curtain fell off the door, it could use a bit more care, and the shared kitchen was a disaster.
