The place sits right next to the metro, Avenida Paulista, and the lively Rua Augusta, and the staff member Larissa was incredibly helpful whenever I needed anything.

I didn’t like anything about it; for the price it was one of the worst hostels I’ve stayed in, the staff felt impersonal and uncaring. Sleeping on the street in the cold for free seemed better than paying a high rate for a place that still smelled like sewage. The room had no window, the air conditioner ran cold at night, and they wouldn’t give me a blanket or even a sheet, which is basic for any accommodation. I’d never seen a place that forced you to pay extra for a blanket. The price was high compared to other options. The Wi‑Fi upstairs didn’t work, there were stairs and no assistance with luggage, the bathroom stank of sewage, was dirty and grimy, and the service was awful. I only stayed because I was exhausted and it was late, but the moment I entered the room I wanted to leave. I’ve never encountered a place that wouldn’t give you a sheet to cover yourself. The Wi‑Fi was terrible, unusable for anyone who needs to work.
