“Comfortable, Cosy, lovely staff and great views”

The bedroom was beautiful with a beach view and the breakfast was wonderful—thanks to the chef. It was excellent value and the food was tasty. Everything was great.

“A beautiful location but lacked the spark and quality that we were promised”

The location and views were amazing, but after booking breakfast I couldn’t find my reservation and had to wait 30 mins for a manager to approve it. The bed was very comfortable, though the room needed some refurbishment.

“A Truly Fabulous British Hotel”

We loved this hotel - it has a wonderful old fashioned charm to it and was fantastic from check in to check out. Stand-out points for us were the friendly and helpful staff, with a special nod to the ladies on reception and the young man behind the bar, whose customer service is second to none. Our room was immaculate, freshly decorated with plenty of space, great shower, very comfortable bed, abundant storage, thoughtful lighting, nice toiletries, good tv and delicious shortbread! Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. Food in the bar is also very good if you don’t want to eat in the restaurant, albeit a limited menu. For us the location was perfect for access to the SWCP and the surrounding trees and golf course are very picturesque. Indoor pool was too cool and the shallow end was too shallow, I grazed my knee on the floor of the pool on my return lap (I’m 5 ft 7!)…But the outdoor hot tub was terrific (and hot) and overlooks the golf course. The barista coffee is the bar is really top notch but the machine coffee at breakfast is not & I do love a proper coffee: perhaps this could be offered to guests as an optional extra

The location was beautiful and the staff were friendly and attentive, but several areas inside and outside were worn and needed repair or updating.

“Wir haben dort nicht übernachtet, weil wir uns in diesem Zimmer nicht wohlfühlen konnten.”

Das Zimmer entsprach nicht den Fotos, der Gesamtzustand war deutlich schlechter. Das Bad hatte eine Badewanne mit Duschvorhang. Das Zimmer war offensichtlich nach der letzten Reinigung noch einmal benutzt worden. Es wurde sofort jemand geschickt, um das Zimmer zu reinigen, aber zusammen mit den anderen Punkten konnten wir uns dort nicht wohlfühlen. Es war kein anderes Zimmer mehr verfügbar, deshalb sind wir in Abstimmung mit der Rezeption sofort abgereist. Bzgl. der Stornokosten ist man leider nicht auf diese Umstände eingegangen und hat uns die erste Nacht vollständig in Rechnung gestellt
