The place had a classic vibe, no fuss, friendly staff, and the public bath was tattoo friendly. It was a bit far from Atami—20 minutes by car—but that wasn’t a big deal; I just had to find a car to go to dinner.

The hot spring and open-air bath were nice, but I accidentally chose the no‑room‑service option when booking, so my bill doubled; that should be reconsidered.

I loved the room and its wonderful view. I recommend waking up early to watch the sunrise, and you can also visit the 5th‑floor onsen where the mineral water soothes skin, muscles, and circulation. The breakfast is exquisite, featuring a range of small traditional Japanese dishes that are surprisingly delicious, and you can order extra rice if you wish. I was very happy with the stay and the staff were very friendly; nothing else comes to mind.
